MALT INTAKE SYSTEMS
Automated Malt Intake Systems
Designed for breweries or distilleries who wish to purchase their malt in bulk.
On delivery the malt is conveyed or blown into a malt silo / hopper. The grain is then discharged from the hopper into an AR conveyor. From the conveyor, grain is transferred into an AR vertical elevator to feed the precision mill. The grist is discharged from the mill into a second elevator - specifically designed for gentle grist handling - which may then be transferred either into a grist case or directly into the mash tun. This design is ideally suited to be operated by a computer, with air fed or manual start up operations.
Automated bulk intake systems are designed and built to suit the size of malt intake required
Semi-Automated Malt Intake Systems
Designed for breweries or distilleries who purchase malt in 25 or 50 kg sacks.
Incorporated in the design is a tipping hopper into which the malt is emptied. The malt is transferred into the mill via an AR vertical elevator. The grist is then discharged from the mill into a second vertical elevator which has been specifically designed for gentle grist handling. The grist can then be transferred into a grist case or directly into the mash tun.
By pressing three start buttons the system is a simple efficient method of transferring sacks of malt to the mash tun, saving on grinding charges, receiving the preferred grind required, with maximum extract.
This system is ideally suited where space is at a premium and can be condensed in a floor area of 3.5 x 1.5 metres.
